Package: scid Version: 1:4.3.0.cvs20120311-1 Severity: normal Somewhere among the Tk 8.5 or perhaps other library updates scid lost the ability to widen or narrow the game list window. I don't think it was a change to scid itself that triggered this because I clearly remember this was working earlier this year, and there have been no scid updates since then.
This is a bigger deal than it may sound, because it means I cannot fit the main scid window and the game list on my screen (1280x1024) without overlap. I can resize the individual columns using the colmn configure menus, but that doesn't change the total width of the window - other columns just get wider. Essentially, it seems the column widths operate only as _relative_ weights i.e. they only influence how wide the column is in relation to other columns. The window width seems to be fixed, and in fact when I try to resize the window by interactive window manager means, the floating size indicator shows the width to be 1 (wth??). Also, the options file ~/.scid/config/options.dat contains this: set winWidth(.glistWin) 1 At first I thought it had something to do with my nondefault choice of font but it does happen with any font including the default one. -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.4.17-custom (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages scid depends on: ii libc6 2.13-35 ii libgcc1 1:4.7.1-7 ii libstdc++6 4.7.1-7 ii libx11-6 2:1.5.0-1 ii python 2.7.3~rc2-1 ii scid-data 1:4.3.0.cvs20120311-1 ii tcl8.5 8.5.11-2 ii tk8.5 8.5.11-2 ii zlib1g 1:1.2.7.dfsg-13 Versions of packages scid recommends: pn libsnack2 <none> ii libtk-img 1:1.3-release-12 ii tcllib 1.14-dfsg-3 ii tdom 0.8.3~20080525-3 ii texlive-games 2012.20120611-2 Versions of packages scid suggests: pn crafty <none> pn glaurung <none> pn phalanx <none> pn scid-spell-data | scid-rating-data <none> ii stockfish 2.1.1+git20111006-2 pn toga2 <none> -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
