OTOH, freedoom relies on deutex in its build process and even provides a minimal doom2.wad for bootstrapping purposes (maybe we should ship that with the deutex package to have it work out-of-the-box for pwads and be independent of external iwads).

However, as deutex still does what it's supposed to do, I'd consider it good enough. ;)
