Package: tiger Version: 1:3.2.1-28 Severity: minor Tiger's cron scripts don't run with a nice value, so they run at normal priority. This can cause the system to really slow down, especially when checking md5sums. It would seem simple to put an entry in the config file where you could set the desired nice value, and use that in the scripts that get run.
It took me several minutes to figure out what was causing so much disk and CPU activity on my system. As it is, I've removed tiger, because I don't want my system to get bogged down every night at 1 AM.
