Package: ripperx
Version: 2.7.3-1
Severity: important

ripperx doesn't ask what format tracks should be encoded in. And by default, it encodes MP3 files. Since there are no MP3 encoders by default, it writes broken files, all 2k in size. Ripper still takes a normal time to rip a disk, and doesn't report that it failed.

To workaround, one can go in the **Mp3 configuration** screen and select the "OggVorbis encoder" encoder plugin rather than the default "Lame MP3 encoder".

ripperx merely suggests toolame, which is not even in the archive.
