Package: fail2ban Version: 0.8.6-3 Severity: wishlist Dear Maintainer,
busybox-syslogd doesn't provide log files but writes to log into a ring buffer which can be read with the command "logread" or -- "tail -f" alike -- with "logread -f". It would be nice if it would be possible to let fail2ban to read the log entries piped from a command, maybe configured via some other configuration directives like these: logcommand = logread or logpipe = logread -f -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.2.0-3-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages fail2ban depends on: ii lsb-base 4.1+Debian7 ii python 2.7.3~rc2-1 ii python-central 0.6.17 Versions of packages fail2ban recommends: ii iptables 1.4.14-3 pn python-gamin <none> ii whois 5.0.18 Versions of packages fail2ban suggests: ii bsd-mailx [mailx] 8.1.2-0.20111106cvs-1 ii mailutils [mailx] 1:2.99.97-3 -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
