While I understand this can be annoying, I don't think this goes against
policy and/or the DFSG, so I'm not comfortable with differing from
upstream just to deal with a one-time annoyance. Do you have any
specific policy/DFSG section in mind?
The only point that makes sense to me would be DFSG #7, but this seems
more like a disclaimer than an additional license, so I don't believe it
applies. We could try bringing this to d-legal just to be on the safe side.

Feel like taking this up upstream?
