Package: atool Version: 0.39.0-2 Severity: wishlist Tags: upstream Dear Francois and Oskar,
it would be cool if atool could also provide an "archive grep" which can grep through an archive's content including listing the archive's member which contains the match. Supporting the common grep option would be a plus. :-) The only tool like this in Debian so far is deepgrep from strigi-utils, but it's very spartanic and doesn't support any grep options. If the agrep will be provided by atool, the package likely needs to conflict with the agrep package which provides a "text search tool with support for approximate patterns". -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.2.0-3-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages atool depends on: ii perl 5.14.2-13 Versions of packages atool recommends: ii bash-completion 1:2.0-1 ii binutils 2.22-7.1 ii bzip2 1.0.6-4 ii file 5.11-2 ii lbzip2 2.1-2 ii pbzip2 1.1.8-1 ii unzip 6.0-7 ii zip 3.0-6 Versions of packages atool suggests: ii arc 5.21p-1 ii arj 3.10.22-10 ii cpio 2.11-8 ii lzip 1.13-3 ii lzop 1.03-3 ii nomarch 1.4-3 ii p7zip 9.20.1~dfsg.1-4 ii rar 2:4.0.b3-1 ii rpm 4.10.0-5 ii unace 1.2b-10 ii unalz 0.65-3 ii unrar 1:4.1.4-1 ii xz-utils [lzma] 5.1.1alpha+20120614-1 -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
