1. Installed mediawiki-extensions-fckeditor (tried wheezy, sid, and 
experimental) with mediawiki=1:1.19.1-1 (wheezy).
2. "mwenext FCKeditor.php"
3. Web server returns "HTTP/1.0 500 Internal Server Error"
4. Apache error log:
   
     PHP Fatal error:  Call to a member function addMessages() on a non-object 
in /usr/share/mediawiki-extensions/fckeditor/FCKeditor.body.php on line 283, 
referer: http://wiki-new/w/index.php?title=Main_Page&;

  Supported MediaWiki versions: "1.16.x and 1.17.x".

There is a patch of unknown quality for making this work with MediaWiki 1.19

It seems the future (but not yet present) of visual editing in
