Package: whereami Version: 0.3.26 Severity: wishlist
Hi, The way whereami detects current location may depend on the interface being brought up. So two suggestions for /etc/network/if-pre-up.d/whereami: -- Add something like "--hint $IFACE". -- Add "[ "$IFACE" = lo ] && exit 0". The whole idea of the local interface is that it is local, and has nothing to do with the location of the system. If the user really wants some whereami'ing on local this can be arranged in the interfaces file, but most users will not want that.
