Dear Maintainer,
I recently installed gcstar on a new machine, and it hung while trying to use
the Import -> Barcode Scanner plugin. I tried running gcstar from the command
line, to get more information, which resulted in the following messages being
displayed on the console:
Gtk-WARNING **: Locale not supported by C library.

Segmentation fault
The details after the point marked [A] are those that appear at the point where
the "Import" button is pressed. At this point, the software appears to do
nothing - neither the "Import" or "Cancel" buttons function. Closing the dialog
box with the X in the top corner works. At that point, if I go back to try the
import again, I get the messages from point [B]. If I do other things, such as
quitting the application, then it appears to work fine.
I tried with the latest version, downloaded from the GCStar website, but this
also appears to fail with the same error.
