I wasn't attempting to get a fix into testing. I agree that the bug is not that 
serious and I would have no problem with wheezy releasing with the bug present.

However I don't need to cherry pick the patch, it's quite separate from the new 
version update that was also in that version, so I can very easily apply that 
patch to 8.30 for a testing-proposed-updates upload, if people think that I 
should.
