No, thank _you_ for chasing this bug! -- it was you who did all the work. I prepared a (preliminary) new release, 5.0.7-1, at http://www.corpit.ru/mjt/tmp/autofs/ - it is based on 5.0.7 which includes your fixes too (and pushed it to a new branch named 5.0.7 on collab-maint/autofs.git, http://anonscm.debian.org/gitweb/?p=collab-maint/autofs.git). I'd apprecate if if you'll take a look, or maybe even test whenever the fix for this bug is complete. I plan to finish the release (it needs some Closes: #nnn added into the changelog - apparently upstream now includes fixes for a few other bugs in BTS; other than that I don't see any problems), upload it to -unstable and ask for another unblock request for wheezy. The amount of other changes in there appears to be rather small and the changes are sane.
