Package: lwresd Version: 1:9.8.1.dfsg.P1-4.2 Severity: normal Hi!
Sometimes when I boot my computer, lwresd fail to start and normal hostname lookup don't work. I get this error message in /var/log/syslog: 2012-09-10T22:08:28.715361+02:00 eckert lwresd[3809]: failed to add lwres socket: 127.0.0.1#921: address in use eckert:~# netstat -n -p -l | grep 921 udp 0 0 127.0.0.1:921 0.0.0.0:* 2017/rpc.statd eckert:~# 127.0.0.1:921 is already claimed by rpc.statd and lwresd fail. If I stop nfs-common, start lwresd and then start nfs-common, the problem is solved. I don't know if this is lwresd's or nfs-common's fault... I have nfs-common 1:1.2.6-3 installed. / Anders -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (51, 'testing-proposed-updates'), (50, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.2.0-3-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) (ignored: LC_ALL set to sv_SE.UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages lwresd depends on: ii adduser 3.113+nmu3 ii libbind9-80 1:9.8.1.dfsg.P1-4.2 ii libc6 2.13-35 ii libcap2 1:2.22-1 ii libdns81 1:9.8.1.dfsg.P1-4.2 ii libgssapi-krb5-2 1.10.1+dfsg-2 ii libisc83 1:9.8.1.dfsg.P1-4.2 ii libisccc80 1:9.8.1.dfsg.P1-4.2 ii libisccfg82 1:9.8.1.dfsg.P1-4.2 ii liblwres80 1:9.8.1.dfsg.P1-4.2 ii libssl1.0.0 1.0.1c-4 Versions of packages lwresd recommends: ii libnss-lwres 0.93-7 Versions of packages lwresd suggests: ii bind9utils 1:9.8.1.dfsg.P1-4.2 -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
