Package: distcc
Version: 2.18.3-3
Severity: normal

Manual page reads:

  EXIT CODES

       ...
       100 General distcc failure.
       105 Out of memory.
       110 Compiler not found.
       111 Recursive call to distcc.
116 No hosts defined and fallbacks disabled.

       (Others are listed in exitcode.h.)

However it is unrealistic to assume that a separate source package
must be downloaded and unfolded in order to find out the reason why
program fails to start by looking into src/exitcode.h

IMPROVEMENT:

The manual page should list all the exit codes of the program and kept
up to date if they change.

BETTER:

Add option --verbose to distcc which would announce the exitcode and
description of the failure in plain text.
