Sorry to hop into this thread, but I've encountered the same bug, just a little different.
At first, once fglrx-legacy-driver installed correctly and my xorg.conf configured, I was able to see "AMD Testing use only" and "Unsupported hardware" in the "watermark" square at the bottom right corner. I've read this thread, and by appliyng the proper signature, I've got rid of the "AMD Testing use only" But the "Unsupported Hardware" is still there, included in the "watermark" Do you have a signature that would get rid of this, too?
