Hello Peter, thanks fo searching the bugreport on the mozilla bugtracker. Yes, this is long ago this behavior is reported for the first time, but unfortunately this is nothing unusual on mozilla bugs. There are some other bugs opened for over ten years. Maybe Mozilla is working on it in future versions of FF/TB. For version 16 and 17 are big reworks for the memory managment announced.
