As a quick-fix, try recompiling the source code with poll rather than
rtsigio. Simply replace --with-engine=rtsigio from the configure line
using --with-engine=poll instead.
RT signals are great but the API is quite disgusting and falls back
to poll if the internal queue overflows anyway.
As stated I'm going to be taking some time to investigate the socket
engine issues that have arisen recently.
