Indeed transcode calls ffmpeg with "-vpre medium" options, whereas a preset called "medium" does not exist and thus ffmpeg fails.
I'd say the fix is to set "char *lavc_param_video_preset = NULL" and remove this specific option from the TCConfigEntry lavcopts_conf[] struct in export/ffmpeg_cfg.c:240.
