Hi Matthijs, >From your diffs it seems to me the multiplay protocol version would be 1.2.2-RC1?
Does that mean clients running it would be still unable to connect to the version 1.2.2 servers or vice-versa? These already seem to be the relative majority (79 of them) according to the live server list at http://www.openttd.org/en/servers Further down the list, two 1.2.2-RC1 servers are mentioned currently. If that's true then I'd think upgrading to 1.2.2-RC1 doesn't help much from an inter-playability(?) point of view. (Unless Ubuntu shipped the same 1.2.2-RC1 as well, but still only the 'new/upgraded' servers could be played on.) On the other hand there are still 75 servers running 1.2.1 (but if they intend to keep running, they may be in need of a backported fix for the DoS issue). Or, maybe the 1.2.2 release was identical to -RC1 except for its version number? In which case perhaps you could attach a new debdiff? You can reduce its size considerably by excluding: os/os2/ os/windows/ projects/ (.vcproj/.vcxproj files for MS Visual Studio) src/lang/ (translations) Also I really recommend trying to attach it again this time, as the release team seems unhappy about referring to externally-hosted files. And, if they are too large to attach and get through the mailing lists, they are probably too large to be reviewed :) Regards, -- Steven Chamberlain ste...@pyro.eu.org -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
