Ron -- Can you please let me know the procedure for how to verify the orig tarball for the "349" version in Debian Sid?
Up to and including the "348" version of Mumble in Wheezy that Patrick Matthäi had been packaging, the tarballs clearly came from the upstream snapshots located at [1], so those are simple to verify via 'diff' directly. But the "349" version in Debian Sid doesn't come from there; instead the tarball is somehow created from the upstream Git repo. 'pristine-tar list' doesn't come up with any tarballs, so in a local clone of the upstream Git repo I did a checkout on commit 315b5f587910983d764955f456fe64e696a786cc that the "349" orig tarball seems to be based on, a checkout of commit 43a04a7e813d3e420409c5465b71af148e779717 in your Git tree that the "349" orig tarball seems to be based on -- but when I try to compare the directories I see a bunch of files that are only in the upstream directory or vice-versa. So would you mind giving me a pointer for how to verify the tarball? Thanks.
