As this is the most recent bug report I'll post my thoughts here. I'm
willing to help with (or perhaps take over) the maintaining of the
fvwm package. Of course, I don't want to nor am I trying to hijack
Manoj's work. I have contacted the current maintainer (Manoj
Srivastava) and see if we can work something out. Below was my message
to Manoj. I'll keep this bug updated if I receive any reply (or after
two weeks if I don't receive any reply).

Hello Manoj,

I would like to know whether you are still interested in maintaining
the fvwm package, seeing as your last upload was on Jun 8, 2010. I am
not trying to hijack your package or steal your work, but only asking
if you need any help. From the looks of bugs #681255, #623194, and
#684395, many people, including myself, wants to see newer versions of
fvwm included in Debian.

If you need help with maintaining the package, I am willing to offer
what I can. I can be your co-maintainer or the sole maintainer, if you
no longer want to deal with the work. I have uploaded the newer
version on https://mentors.debian.net/package/fvwm, and it is also
what I have been using for the past few months. You are still marked
as the maintainer, copyright and changelog both remain the same (other
than some formatting changes), and files are mostly in the same places
(example configurations are now under /usr/share/doc/fvwm/examples/).

By the way, thank you for all the work you've put into maintaining
this packaging. Building the package myself made me realize how much
you've done for all the FVWM users.

Regards,
Vincent Chen
