Package: scrot Version: 0.8-13 Severity: normal
When using the $t special string in the filename, scrot segfaults and crashes. $t represents the format of the saved image, which I believe is taken from the filename extension, so using $t in the filename should be prohibited. Still, the man pages does not specify this (as it does for other options, such as $f, $n and $s [full path, filename, size]). Most likely the documentation should be fixed but the program still shouldn't segfault. -- System Information: Debian Release: 6.0.5 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-5-amd64 (SMP w/3 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages scrot depends on: ii giblib1 1.2.4-5 wrapper library for imlib2, and ot ii libc6 2.11.3-3 Embedded GNU C Library: Shared lib ii libfreetype6 2.4.2-2.1+squeeze4 FreeType 2 font engine, shared lib ii libimlib2 1.4.2-8+b2 powerful image loading and renderi ii libx11-6 2:1.3.3-4 X11 client-side library ii libxext6 2:1.1.2-1 X11 miscellaneous extension librar ii zlib1g 1:1.2.3.4.dfsg-3 compression library - runtime scrot recommends no packages. scrot suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
