Package: wajig Version: 2.7 Severity: wishlist Whenever the kernel’s ABI is changed, the package name is changed, I presume for safety in case the new kernel fails to boot. This means that over time a large number of kernel packages can build up on a system.
It would be good if one could say "wajig purge-old-kernels" and have all kernel packages that were not currently depended on removed, both linux-image-* and linux-headers-*. -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers precise-updates APT policy: (500, 'precise-updates'), (500, 'precise-security'), (500, 'precise') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.2.0-29-generic (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages wajig depends on: ii apt 0.8.16~exp12ubuntu10.2 ii aptitude 0.6.6-1ubuntu1 ii python3 3.2.3-0ubuntu1 ii python3-apt 0.8.3ubuntu7 wajig recommends no packages.
