Hi there! During the last month with dsync (see #680992), I discovered a very nasty bug which actually renders dsync unusable for me. Full log of various dsync calls is attached, here is a snippet: ===== $ time dsync -v -k mirror mantissa-smd.pca.it [...] dsync-local(luca): Error: remote: dsync-remote(luca.capello): Warning: \ Maildir /home/luca.capello/Maildir/.lists.Debian.devel.general: \ Expunged message reappeared, giving a new UID (old uid=26466, \ file=1341791681.M57441P11093.mantissa:2,) dsync-local(luca): Error: remote: dsync-remote(luca.capello): Warning: \ Maildir /home/luca.capello/Maildir/.lists.Debian.devel.general: \ Expunged message reappeared, giving a new UID (old uid=26467, \ file=1341791681.M57442P11093.mantissa:2,) dsync-remote(luca.capello): Warning: \ Maildir /home/luca.capello/Maildir/.lists.Debian.devel.general: \ Expunged message reappeared, giving a new UID (old uid=26469, \ file=1341791681.M57444P11093.mantissa:2,) dsync-remote(luca.capello): Warning: \ Maildir /home/luca.capello/Maildir/.lists.Debian.devel.general: \ Expunged message reappeared, giving a new UID (old uid=26470, \ file=1341791681.M57445P11093.mantissa:2,) dsync-remote(luca.capello): Warning: \ Maildir /home/luca.capello/Maildir/.lists.Debian.devel.general: \ Expunged message reappeared, giving a new UID (old uid=26471, \ file=1341791681.M57446P11093.mantissa:2 dsync-local(luca): Error: remote: ) [some hours/days later] $ time dsync -v -k mirror mantissa-smd.pca.it [...] dsync-local(luca): Info: support.Debian.Events: Couldn't keep all uids dsync-local(luca): Error: msg-copy returned invalid input: dsync-local(luca): Warning: Mailbox changes caused a desync. You may want to run dsync again. real 1m12.632s user 0m1.796s sys 0m0.576s ===== The master mailbox is kept synchronized with my primary laptop via dsync and with another tablet via syncmaildir. However, I started to use the latter after having experienced the dsync problem above. Thx, bye, Gismo / Luca -- Package-specific info:
