Package: pnp4nagios-bin Version: 0.6.16-1 Severity: minor
Hi Sebastian. As far as I understand, only process_perfdata.pl uses librrds-perl, right? And this might also be run with the native rrdtool (by setting USE_RRDs=0). I absolutely agree that this is by itself stupid, and people should use the Perl modules,... but there may be guys out there who really have whatever reasons not to do this (though I can't imagine any). So a dependency like: librrds-perl | rrdtool Might better visualise the actual dependencies :) OTOH, though: /usr/lib/pnp4nagios/libexec/rrd_convert.pl seems to really depend on the native rrdtool. So we might want to either suggest or recommend rrdtool in addition anyway.
