Package: git-svn
Version: 1:1.7.10.4-1
Severity: normal

I executed:

 [38+1] git svn init --username=anonsvn
https://smlnj-gforge.cs.uchicago.edu/svn/smlnj/sml-mode/trunk

but git made no record of the username:

 [39+1]sml-mode$ cat .git/config
[core]
        repositoryformatversion = 0
        filemode = true
        bare = false
        logallrefupdates = true
[svn-remote "svn"]
        url = https://smlnj-gforge.cs.uchicago.edu/svn/smlnj/sml-mode/trunk
        fetch = :refs/remotes/git-svn

and in fact is trying to fetch with my username instead:

 [40+1]sml-mode$ git svn fetch
