Package: pnp4nagios-bin
Version: 0.6.16-1
Severity: wishlist

Hi Sebastian.

I've already proposed this change upstream:
https://github.com/lingej/pnp4nagios/pull/36
http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/message.php?msg_id=29616710

but Jörg denied it; I guess solely becaus he wants to not change the historic
default (?).

Anyway,... maybe it's something we'd like to do on a distro level.

Right now, /var/tmp is used for storing temporary files during the generation
of PDFs.
/var/tmp, though, is "reserved" by FHS for temp files that must survive a
reboot,
which is IMHO not the case here. If a reboot took place, any HTTP connections
that might have requested a PDF are anyway gone, as well as the PHP process
that would continue to use the temp files to make the PDF.

It's rather a cosmetic/perfetionist thingy... so in principle I don't have a big
problem with how Jörg decided.

Cheers,
Chris.
