Package: youtube-dl
Version: 2012.02.27+gita171dbf-1
Severity: important

I just stumbled upon this little problem:

,----
| % youtube-dl "http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x21uw543HVk";
| WARNING: Falling back on generic information extractor.
| [generic] watch?v=x21uw543HVk: Downloading webpage
| [generic] watch?v=x21uw543HVk: Extracting information
| ERROR: Invalid URL: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x21uw543HVk
`----

Downgrading to 2012.02.27-1 fixed it.
