The bug is unreproducible here.
If the server is correctly set up I can connect perfectly.
If there are problems connecting (i.e., the host doesn't have port 15000 
opened) it immediately gives "Unable to connect to host"
If the port is filtered (i.e., 
"iptables -A OUTPUT -p tcp --dport 15000 -j DROP") it freezes until it gets 
the timeout.
