Hi Daniel, Dmitry sent me an email before filing the report and asked me to integrate the patch he did, then I forgot to add the following information to the filed bug. Sorry. I suggested him to ask upstream to integrate it, this I think is the correct behaviour. I'd be happy to add any patch that is debian related to gocr. Although, the patch would make "public" something that does not seem to be intented to be public. Plus, it would make OSRA only compilable against Debian or any other system which applies a similar patch, which is not really preferable, IMHO, unless ORSA is meant only to work on Debian. What does upstream think about this proposal? I see that in gocr HISTORY file for 0.47 there is a mention to OSRA, but the patch filed is for 0.48. The comments seems to agree it's not a problem for upstream to make .a/.so out of the library, so what's missing? I understand that it's hard to wait for 0.50, so if upstream has any official patch I can apply to make OSRA compiling on Debian while waiting for the new release, it would be OK for me. I want to be sure that this direction is the one with which upstream agrees. cheers, Cosimo. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
