I count 7 packages providing system-log-daemon.

It seems kinda odd to me, that we should duplicate that functionality in
7 packages. Don't you agree?

bootlogd doesn't look like the right place either.

As this particular log file is about the actual boot process only, I
kinda feel it doesn't belong into rsyslog but naturally fits into
sysvinit/initscripts.
