Do you mean that the pages were missing information on how to use
iface eth1 inet dhcp
wpa-conf /path/to/wpa_supplicant.conf
or how to use
iface wlan0 inet static
wpa-driver nl80211
wpa-ssid HotSpot1
wpa-bssid 00:1a:2b:3c:4d:5e
...
?

Yes, I am that person. It is a bug when manpages do not make it clear
how to use or configure a program. Thanks for catching it.
