Package: offlineimap Version: 6.5.4-2 Severity: normal Hi,
When I hit Ctrl-C in offlineimap, it tries to be clever and wants to cleanly shutdown the network. Doing Ctrl-C several times does not change this. Additionally, what offlineimap is waiting on (a clean close of the TCP connection) will not happen if the network is fucked (because the power went down, or the laptop was suspended and has just now resumed in a completely different place, or any of a number of reasons outside the control of offlineimap), meaning I have to wait for the TCP timeout. The two combined mean that offlineimap has now become an extremely annoying tool, which gets the sig11 treatment from me. ("ctrl-Z, kill -11 %1") Please don't make software which thinks it's smarter than me. I do agree that doing a clean shutdown on first attempt is a good thing; but if the user hits Ctrl-C several times, that probably means you should just give up and say "whatever, but it's your fault if things go wrong".
