Package: hostapd Version: 1:1.0-2 Severity: important Dear Maintainer,
I've been running hostapd 0.7.3-4 in daemon mode and it's been working perfectly. Now I upgraded and it doesn't start at all. It gives the following message: [....] Starting advanced IEEE 802.11 management: hostapdrmdir[ctrl_interface]: No such file or directory failed! Please advise how to debug this further. -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 3.4.4-joco (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages hostapd depends on: ii initscripts 2.88dsf-22.1 ii libc6 2.13-33 ii libnl-3-200 3.2.7-3 ii libnl-genl-3-200 3.2.7-3 ii libssl1.0.0 1.0.1c-3 ii lsb-base 4.1+Debian7 hostapd recommends no packages. hostapd suggests no packages. -- Configuration Files: /etc/default/hostapd changed: DAEMON_CONF="/etc/hostapd/hostapd.conf" /etc/hostapd/hostapd.conf [Errno 13] Permission denied: u'/etc/hostapd/hostapd.conf' -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
