I confim the bug reported by Rupert Swarbrick. But even pointing those two lines to the the right place, it won't work because the command mkinitrd invoked on /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/plymouth/plymouth-update-initrd no longer exists on my system.
For me it worked editing /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/plymouth/plymouth-update-initrd to: #!/bin/bash update-initramfs -u -k $(uname -r) Krishnamurti Lelis Lima Vieira Nunes -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
