Package: banshee
Version: 2.4.1-3
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

When plugging in my MTP-based Galaxy Nexus phone, the phone does not show up as
an MTP device in Banshee (nor is any error displayed).

Also, the following error is shown in dmesg (repeatedly):
[180590.338113] usb 1-1.3: usbfs: process 4205 (banshee) did not claim
interface 0 before use

The following is output by Banshee itself (irrelevant output from other
plug-ins filtered):
[Info 17:56:11.991] Running Banshee 2.4.1: [Debian GNU/Linux unstable (sid)

When I later disconnect my phone, the following is displayed:
[Warn 18:03:24.739] Failed to load media-player-info file for 1
ERROR: Could not close session!
inep: usb_get_endpoint_status(): No such device
outep: usb_get_endpoint_status(): No such device
usb_clear_halt() on IN endpoint: No such device
usb_clear_halt() on OUT endpoint: No such device
usb_clear_halt() on INTERRUPT endpoint: No such device

Apparently, there's some kind of problem with the MTP interface, and Banshee
freezes trying to figure out the battery level on my phone (which seems to
return something unexpected).

Flagging this bug as "important", since the ability to transfer music to a DAP
or, as in this case, a phone is probably quite central to a music manager.
