No, I haven't seen a crash yet. | On sid, install both octave-io and | octave-java, and octave should crash at runtime. Sorry, I've never been able to keep track of what sid or wheezy or whatever means. I stay fairly current with the testing distribution, whatever that is, on an amd64 system.
