Its generally going to mess with things if you have more than one process running on the same torrent. I think that what you should do in this case is kill the ghost process before starting the new one, its hung in some way, then the new process should be able to handle things normally.
Why bittornado leaves a process around when you hit cancel is a mystery. Did you hit cancel *before* you freed up space? Or afterwards? Thanks, micah
