COMMENTS:
   I use /usr/bin/mail (which is a link to /etc/alternatives/mail,
which is a link to /usr/bin/bsd-mailx) with the -f option to read
email, and nonascii subject lines in emails are not decoded.
I have the following workaround of the problem, probably of no
use to most people. I have a computer running the 64 bit version
of Fedora 10 (Linux 2.6.27.41-170.2.117.fc10.x86_64 #1 SMP Thu
Dec 10 10:36:29 EST 2009 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux). I
copied the /usr/bin/mailx file to the present Debian Wheezy
system (with a changed name), and I can use it to read email,
with the nonascii subject lines decoded.

                     Sincerely yours,

                     Attila Mate
