Package: python-scapy Version: 2.2.0-1 Severity: important Dear Maintainer,
When I run scapy, this is what happens: # scapy INFO: Can't import python gnuplot wrapper . Won't be able to plot. lstat(./dvips) failed ... ./dvips: No such file or directory python: ../../../texk/kpathsea/progname.c:316: remove_dots: Assertion `ret' failed. Aborted I installed all the "suggests" packages, ii ebtables 2.0.10.4-1 ii gv 1:3.7.3-1 ii hexer 0.1.7-1 ii librsvg2-bin 2.36.1-1 ii python-gnuplot 1.8-1.1 ii sox 14.4.0-3 and I get this: # scapy lstat(./dvips) failed ... ./dvips: No such file or directory python: ../../../texk/kpathsea/progname.c:316: remove_dots: Assertion `ret' failed. Aborted The dvips thing is not this bug. The assertion failure in the Python interpreter is. I suppose the bug is really in Python, but Scapy's aggravating it. -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.2.0-2-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages python-scapy depends on: ii python 2.7.3~rc2-1 ii python2.6 2.6.7-4 ii python2.7 2.7.3~rc2-2.1 python-scapy recommends no packages.
