What kind of graphics adapter do you have?

No - using NVidia...

If you need any kind of additional information do not hesitate to
contact me - we have a pool of about 10 ltsp clients here which all have
the same problem - our current work around is switch to "gnome classic"
as written above.

Doesn't look like a gnome-session problem, so re-assigning.
Could you test other composited desktop environments, like e.g. KDE/kwin
with compositing enabled.

Checking the Xorg.0.log, dmesg and ~/.xsession-errors for errors might
be a good idea. Attach them to the bug report.

Does this problem happen with gnome-shell 3.2, i.e. the version from
testing? Is this a regression, if so, which packages did you upgrade
since the regressions started (especially X related packages).

Michael

Hi, since a couple of days the problem is *gone*. Now using gnome-shell 3.4.1-5 and xorg 1:7.6+13.
