Hi Sandro, Here's my response to Thilo's explanation. Please re-open the 'bug' as my objection stands. (or otherwise let me know your response). I really want to see reportbug become more user friendly, and am just trying to be helpful. This package has to be especially user-friendly in order not to discourage users an ANY level from reporting bugs and giving Debian feedback. For many users, reportbug will be the only feedback Debian will get, and if the app itself isn't smooth, it's a potential real turn-ff. Consider that a user usually only gets to report bug due to a frustration, and if reportbug itself is a source of frustration it could very well be 'the last straw' for that user. Thanks.

The '?' option isn't even among either option lists. Additionally, having in-line documentation of the 'e' option and not anything for the '?' also would throw someone off. --- On Thu, 6/14/12, Debian Bug Tracking System <ow...@bugs.debian.org> wrote: > From: Debian Bug Tracking System <ow...@bugs.debian.org> > Subject: Bug#677515 closed by Sandro Tosi <mo...@debian.org> (Re: Bug#677515: > reportbug: response options undocumented) > To: "whatmeurgent" <whatmeurg...@yahoo.com> > Date: Thursday, June 14, 2012, 9:57 AM > This is an automatic notification > regarding your Bug report > which was filed against the reportbug package: > > #677515: reportbug: response options undocumented > > It has been closed by Sandro Tosi <mo...@debian.org>. > > Their explanation is attached below along with your original > report. > If this explanation is unsatisfactory and you have not > received a > better one in a separate message then please contact Sandro > Tosi <mo...@debian.org> > by > replying to this email. > > > -- > 677515: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=677515 > Debian Bug Tracking System > Contact ow...@bugs.debian.org > with problems > -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
