According to [1]: grave makes the package in question unusable or mostly so, or causes data loss, or introduces a security hole allowing access to the accounts of users who use the package. Here gnome3 is no more usable on my system as most characters and icons are gone and launching any application becomes a guess party especially when you start the system and do not have any shell open. Adding the fact that using alt+f2 hangs the system once over tow trials, I think that the grave severity is fully justified.
