Package: cryptsetup Version: 2:1.4.3-1 Severity: grave I use Debian unstable, and update packages frequently. When starting my notebook today I got the following message at the promt where I type in my passphrase:
/sbin/crpytsetup: relocation error: /sbin/cryptsetup: symbol crypt_activate_by_key_file_offste, version CRYPTSETUP_1.0 not defined in file libcryptsetup.so.4 with link time reference This issue prevents me from accessing my system. I believe that relevant packages are the latest versions from unstable, but cannot check the versions (I am writing this report from a webmail interface on a Windows system), so the Version pseudoheader is just a guess. I remember having updated encryption-related packages during the weekend. I do not know if this is really a cryptsetup bug or some library issue. Nevertheless, normal package updates installed using synaptic made my system unuseable. Philipp -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
