Also, please perform another winXP installation on the new hardware (on bulldozer) and check if that one will work. I think this is the very obvious thing to try, even before submitting such a bugreport. Please note that the bulldozer system I mentioned in the previous email wasn't mine, but I ran my virtual winXP in there just in order to run symantec partition magic to resize win7 partitions in there.
