Package: man-db
Version: 2.6.1-2
Severity: normal

man -f doesn't support subpages (as documented under --no-subpages). For
example:

  $ man -w git diff
  /usr/share/man/man1/git-diff.1.gz

but:

  $ man -f git diff
  git (1) - the stupid content tracker
  Git (3pm) - Perl interface to the Git version control system
  diff (1) - compare files line by line

It would be useful if -f supported subpages, so that it is consistent
with plain man, and man -f can be relied on to give the titles of the
pages that plain man would display.

Alternatively, -f should be documented not to support subpages.

Thanks.
