I tried to rebuild the package with DEB_BUILD_OPTIONS=noopt, but it
still used -O2:
/bin/bash ../../libtool --tag=CXX --mode=compile g++ -DHAVE_CONFIG_H
-I./../include -g -O2 -c -o compat.lo compat.cc
libtool: compile: g++ -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I./../include -g -O2 -c compat.cc
-fPIC -DPIC -o .libs/compat.o
