Package: samba
Version: 2:3.6.5-3
Severity: wishlist

Dear Maintainer,
Each time a new version of Samba is release, we get a system prompt asking
about overwriting our customized smb.conf
with the package maintainers new version. In general, the package maintainer's
version is what we want, but to add additional
shares requires customization.

Rather than having to hand maintain the customizations each release, it would
be nice if the packaged smb.conf automatically
included add-ons from a conf.d folder or some similar process. This way we
could add additional shares while still using
the new smb.conf which comes with each release. Thus, no more prompts.

Much thanks,
Chris.
