Although it appeared that the problem is fixed in version 0.6.21-2, after several hours the problem reoccurred. Indeed, the crash is not that frequent and most important I didn't had a full gnome-shell crash (it restarted automatically).
I can still reproduce the problem by just unplugging the power cord, and in this case I get a gnome-shell crash that is not recoverable without restarting the session. Another thing to note is that the last crash was not caused by accountsservice but by glib library.
