     It's not clear to me which version of PostgreSQL you're actually
using.  v8.3?  v9.1?

I am currently using version 9.1 of the db.

In case this history is important: I migrated to 9.1 after ledgersmb no longer worked and I noticed that I didn't have postgres-8.3-contrib installed and therefore could not migrate 1.2->1.3. After the successful migration of all databases to 9.1, I tried to migrate ledgersmb from 1.2 to 1.3.

   And also; how is the 'contrib_dir' configuration item set in your
/etc/ledgersmb/ledgersmb.conf? That needs to be the appropriate path
for whichever version of PostgreSQL you're using and it does need to be
corrected in the version of the file that comes with 1.3.15-2. (Later
versions of the package now defaults it to the one for Pg v9.1.)

The current setting of the contrib_dir is

contrib_dir = /usr/share/postgresql/9.1/extension

which I verified does exist and contains the expected files. (Setup.pl will stop with a complaint about missing contribs/extensions if the path is wrong, as I noticed when I tried to migrate under postgres 8.3). I also enter that contrib_dir value at the "setup.pl" page when the page asks me to enter contrib_dir.
